The first thing we did was have lunch, during which we formulated a plan to see the highlights of the town and supply the want of going on the spider trampoline.
After lunch, we went to the maison carre to see a film about the town Nimes. The clip started out with a scene of a dark and empty room until a shadow of a person opening the door appeared on a statue of Caesar. The man walked into the room holding a lit candle, he set it down on a stand and chanted "Who is the bravest of the citizens of Nimes?" in a booming voice. A graphically designed eagle sprung out from the stand and swooped straight towards me. I have to admit I was scared. After that it showed a birds eye view of a flight over the mountains. The landscape eventually became Nimes in the old time and it showed a series of clips depicting the heroes of Nimes.
After the film, we went to a Coliseum-like place that was absolutely stellar! I enjoyed listening about the different types of gladiators and the battles that were fought there. I think it was the most epic sight we saw on Our Epic Journey.
After that we went on the spider trampoline. It was incredible, one of the things I'm sure other people noticed was that I was trying to do a flip in my harness but I epically failed. I almost bopped my nose!!!
