Over the weekend we went to Torino (known by Americans as Turin). We had a great time in Torino but it was quite cold. We had to put on our coats every single time we went outside which eventually got annoying.
There was a 2013 film festival going on in Torino so there were lots of lines outside ticket booths scattered a cross Torino. There was also a cinema museum in Torino and we all thought it was very good. We all liked the exhibits because the were very interesting and hands on, and most of them were very clear. On our last day we went up the panoramic lift that went through the cinema museum and up to the top of the dome. The view was amazing! You could see for many kilometers and then the view abruptly ended at the snow-capped mountains. Even this kid thought it was breathtaking.
In the cinema museum my favorite exhibit was the special effects exhibit. They had very clear videos on how movies were produced and how the special effects were added. My favorite part was the simulators. There were two simulators one was a simulator where you sit in the seat, choose a background, and then the camera puts you behind a steering console while the animation of the background goes on. The other one was the infinity pit. You stand on a platform and a machine rolls a canvas behind you so it looks like you are falling. I thought it was very fun.
